Internet Scams/Email Scams - False Bank emails

xx !! - This encourages you to download and run a .exe file - i.e. a PROGRAM

This could expose all your account details, passwords etc. to the fraudsters by sending back data from your PC, keystrokes as you type, details of sites visited etc.

Needless to say it is NOT from "The Bank Of England"

Another example - NOT from Lloyds TSB

It is easy to think that it IS genuine since the fraudsters have used genuine Lloyds TSB headers and pictures.

Banks will  NEVER ask for account details by email or by phone.

They KNOW you - they already know the details and do not need YOU to confirm them  over the internet or by Email.
